Rate Buy/Sell Privacy Policy

Rate Buy/Sell (the "app", available at buysellrate.com and as an Android app, package com.buysellrate.app) is a currency exchange calculator. It is designed to work without collecting any personal data.

Data stored on your device

Everything you enter or configure in the app (currency cards, amounts, buy/sell fees, language and other settings) is stored only on your device, in local application storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, permanently deletes it.

Exchange rate updates

To display up-to-date exchange rates, the app requests rate data from our server at buysellrate.com, which in turn obtains it from the public rate service floatrates.com. These requests are anonymous: they contain only the base currency being requested, no account, no identifier, and no personal information. Like virtually all web servers, our hosting provider (Infomaniak, Switzerland) may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operational purposes.

What we do not do

• No user accounts: the app requires no sign-up or login.
• No advertising.
• No analytics or tracking of any kind.
• No collection, sale, or sharing of personal data with third parties.

Permissions

The Android app uses only the Internet permission, to fetch exchange rates.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at buysellrate.com/privacy.html.
